From Anger Management to the Kindness Ambassador with Kemy Joseph

From anger-management problems to co-founding a nonprofit grounded in kindness, Kemy Joseph changed his life with positivity. Today, he is on a mission to help millions of others see how positivity can change theirs too. In today’s episode of Lift U Up: Inspiring Health Stories, we have the pleasure of hearing his journey through entrepreneurship, finding positivity during hard times, and making the impossible, possible.

Kemy Joseph has entrepreneurship in his blood, and since as early as his college days, he’s been using his passion to make the world around him a better place. In college, he started his first organization with a mission to help people embrace what makes them awesome in the world. He was known across campus as a kindness champion, and took that title with him beyond graduation.

In 2012, Kemy embarked on the “Genuine Kindness Tour”, where he rode 22,000 miles across the country on a scooter. The 10-month tour was to spread positivity, increase the awareness of how far a kind act can go, and even reinforced the power of kindness in his own life. The tour brought challenges for Kemy, but ultimately led him to learning lessons that took him towards his next big endeavor: co-founding F.E.A.R.S. Advantage.

F.E.A.R.S. Advantage helps organizations reframe Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to go beyond HR, anti-racism, and the old version of “diversity” in the workplace. As the CEO, Kemy is on a mission to help 5 million business leaders create a world where people of all backgrounds can live safely and thrive. Their mission is rooted in the belief that our fears are inside of us for a reason, so how can we use those to help instead of hurt? Kemy believes that we don’t have to just act in our own lives, but should take action as directors and flip the script.
