Seventeen of the tri-county region's top chief financial officers were honored at the affair

More than 200 people came together to celebrate exemplary financial executives at the South Florida Business Journal's 2023 CFO Awards held Thursday at the Signature Grand in Davie. 

Seventeen of the tri-county region's top chief financial officers were honored at the affair, which kicked off with a networking hour that featured hors d'oeuvres and an open bar.

The ceremony was then kicked off by Tamika Bickham, founder of TB Media Group, who served as emcee. President & Publisher Melanie Dickinson greeted the crowd and thanked program sponsors in her welcome video, followed by Editor-in-Chief Mel Meléndez who explained the selection process for the CFO honors. 

The editorial team selected winners and honorees in five main categories:

• CFOs at companies with less than $25 million in revenue

• CFOs at companies with revenue between $25 million and $250 million,

• CFOs at companies with more than $250 million in revenue

• CFOs at public companies

• CFOs at nonprofits

Two additional special categories honored a CFO for the Turnaround Achievement of the Year and a CFO for the Financial Deal of the Year.

The event was presented by StevenDouglas, with corporate sponsors Berkowitz Pllack Brant CPAs + Advisors and CIBC, Out of the Box sponsor Amazon and centerpiece sponsor OZ Digital Consulting.
