Clearing Healthcare Hurdles while Living with Multiple Sclerosis with Vanessa Liebl
On episode 2 of Lift U Up: Inspiring Health Stories, Tamika is joined by guest Vanessa Liebl, an entrepreneur, wife, mom, and native Houstonian who wholeheartedly jumps at the opportunity to help others.
Vanessa’s ambitions and work have always been fueled by a proclivity for helping others. After her own challenges navigating the healthcare system, due to a chronic illness, Liebl knew that she wasn’t alone.
In this episode, Vanessa shares her story, starting with her diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 21. She admits that initially she was terrified, that as a previously healthy individual she had no idea how to navigate this new part of her life. But then, things started to change.
Vanessa set out on an entrepreneurial path to create Choice MD, a community-based platform with the aim of helping others in their journey to better health and wellness. The website provides everything from medical research, to a provider directory and a calendar of local health-related events with the goal of serving as a resource for everyone in our community to lead healthier lives.

About the Host
I’m an award-winning journalist who painstakingly walked away from the thing I worked so hard for — my career in local TV news. By accident, I turned my love of telling stories into a full time business. On purpose, I run a video and content marketing agency who tells visual stories for health & happiness brands.
