Do We All Need Healing? with Shameka and Isaac Collins

Does everyone need healing? According to Shameka and Isaac Collins, the answer is a big yes. Together, the married mental health counselors have worked with people from all walks of life who want to better themselves. Their love for people and motto of “Do it Together” led them towards opening Collins & Collins Clinical Services in 2019 where they restore families and relationships as a team. In today’s episode of Lift U Up: Inspiring Health Stories, the couple shares more about their practice today and how their personal growth contributes to their success with clients.

One thing Shameka and Isaac know how to do is embrace togetherness. After being introduced by a mutual friend, the pair knew quickly they were a great fit. As a husband-and-wife duo with a shared vision and passion, they felt their purpose was to not only do life together, but work with each other too. When Shameka admitted her dream of opening her own practice, Isaac knew they’d make it happen because, simply, they are better as one.

But first, they both had to learn to work through any trauma or confusion caused by living in a broken home, and each sought out their own therapy as a resource for breaking old habits for the better. Today, they are able to use these experiences to better serve their clients and be a living example of the benefits of therapy. At Collins & Collins Clinical Services, the Collins work with individuals and couples on communication tactics and strategies for working through hard times.
